ABOUT TEENY TINY
The Teeny Tiny Music Show (TTMS) is Toronto's first multidisciplinary marching band theatre company dedicated to combining music and storytelling in surprising and innovative ways. The company is comprised of 4-14 emerging and professional musicians and theatre artists. The company's first show of the same name premiered in the 2016 Hamilton Fringe Festival and was quoted “one of the most talked about shows of this year's Hamilton Fringe” (Raise The Hammer) The show was redeveloped for the 2017 Toronto Fringe Festival and played Paupers Pub downtown Toronto.
TTMS applied for the 2017 Crapshoot play development series at Theatre Passe Muraille in Toronto hosted by Art is Hard (Pip & Rebecca). After presenting their 8 minute pitch, the company was offered to develop a 20 minutes of their piece for the following Crapshoot in December. After a successful performance, the company further developed their Crapshoot script, which became HIGH SCHOOL SYMPHONY.
HIGH SCHOOL SYMPHONY performed a workshop performance with the support of The Painted Lady Pub downtown Toronto, as well as at Senator O'Connor College School for over 200 music and theatre students. The show was redeveloped for the 2018 Toronto Fringe Festival where it was lauded as "a totally professional and polished project" (Ontario Arts Review). The project has been nominated on BroadwayWorld for the 2018 Fringe Breakout Performance Award.
TTMS recently accepted a residency at Festival Players in Prince Edward County, where the core creative team will be developing new work with the support of the staff, and guest artists such as Graham Abbey. The company will be using the Kaplan Script Library as the source material for their new show.
